Chancellor, President to Announce Distinguished Faculty Award Winners
The Chancellor’s Council Distinguished Teaching and Research Awards are the most prestigious honors granted to faculty members throughout the Â鶹ÌìÀǸ±ÀûÔº.

EVENT: Chancellor and ASU President will present the annual Chancellor’s Council Distinguished Teaching and Research Awards to two faculty members at Angelo State University.

- Susana Badiola, professor of philosophy, College of Arts and Humanities
Distinguished Research Award
- Kanisorn Wongsrichanalai, associate professor of history, College of Arts and Humanities
The Chancellor’s Council helps advance the important work of the TTU System and its four component institutions – , , and .
The Chancellor’s Council was created in 1967 as the President’s Council to recognize donors who helped Texas Tech accomplish its highest goals. The program was renamed and expanded in 1996 with the establishment of the TTU System. Today, the Chancellor’s Council plays a vital role in creating opportunities for all four universities. The council supports student scholarships, faculty awards and top scholar recruitment.
Award recipients each receive a $5,000 stipend and an engraved medallion.
